Carole Folmar serves as Senior Director of Regulatory & Compliance and Associate General Counsel at ITG Brands, a U.S. subsidiary of Imperial Brands. In her role, she focuses on federal and state regulatorymatters that affect the company’s products and operations, offering legal guidance and supporting the company’s efforts to meet applicable regulatory requirements. She works with internal teams across the business as well as external regulatory and industry stakeholders to help the company navigate complex regulatory processes.
Carole contributes to broader company planning by providing regulatory perspective on issues that shape ITG Brands’ strategic priorities.She collaborates with executive leadership, cross‑functional colleagues, and global counterparts within the Imperial Brands organization on regulatory topics that influence long‑term decision‑making and product strategy in the U.S. market.
With more than 18 years of regulatory and compliance experience in the tobacco industry, Carole has worked across multiple product categories, including cigarettes, cigars, e‑vapor, and modern oral nicotine. Prior to joining ITG Brands, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and practiced civil litigation, experience that continues to inform her approach to regulatory analysis, risk assessment, and legal interpretation.
Carole holds a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and is a member of the North Carolina State Bar.
